Welcome

Welcome to the CAPRI (COPD Access/Adherence to Pulmonary Rehabilitation Intervention) research study!

Physical activity such as walking can help people with lung disease. Regular walking can improve your health-related quality of life, decrease your risk of acute exacerbations and hospitalizations, and even help you live longer. In this research study we are studying whether you will walk more if you use a pedometer and website.

Your safety is very important to us. Any changes in your medical condition should first be reported to your primary healthcare provider. We also want you to report changes in your medical condition and any injuries or illnesses to us.

Slipping and/or falling while walking is a risk of participating in this research study. Please use caution while walking. Please do not walk for this program if your current health or environmental conditions make it unsafe for you to do so.

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable experience!
